Exercise… it does your body good!

What are your top favourite things to do to pass the time?  I can pretty much guarantee you that less than 50% of people would include exercise or working out on their lists.  But I think that exercise is largely misunderstood.  People think that they will have to lift large weights over their heads just as well as everyone else that is there working out… they believe that they will be expected to run 100 miles right away… and they are afraid of getting all hot and sweaty.  But what they maybe don’t know is that there are a list of benefits a mile long.

   Physicians at The Methodist Hospital in Houston have proposed their Top 10 list of reasons why you should be exercising… it includes everything from lifting your mood by increasing the serotonin levels in your brain, to improving bone strength and preventing osteoporosis, to toning your muscles and making them leaner, to helping prevent injuries caused by everyday activities like lifting things and hopping over puddles.  Check out the full list at http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/releases/132408.php
