Blueberry Flaxseed Yogurt

So Monday this week was Labour Day… a holiday!  Granted, it’s the one that marks the official end of the summer (which can be sort of sad), but at Heroic Health, we are looking at this landmark as a chance to make some changes… set some new goals… and really get our game on before the holidays hit!

We are starting up a Weekly Healthy Recipe here in our blog!  Typically, these will get posted up on Monday, but this week you get it on Tuesday because of the holiday.  This week’s recipe is Blueberry Flaxseed Yogurtso yummy!  Very healthy too.

Blueberry Flaxseed Yogurt:

  • 6 oz. Liberte Greek Yogurt 0% M.F
  • 1½ tsp. Honey
  • 1 tbsp. Flaxseed, whole and ground
  • ½ cup Blueberries
  • 8 whole Almonds

1)    Add ground flaxseeds, blueberries, and almonds to yogurt

2)    Top with honey for a delicious breakfast

(About 300 calories per serving)

Macronutrient Balance:

  • Protein – 31.7%
  • Carbohydrates – 39.1%
  • Fat – 29.2%
