We are only just recently discovering the joys of juicing and blending up some fabulous healthy shakes and smoothies. It blows my mind that you can create such wild and wonderful things with one (arguably two) simple machine(s). So when we started getting into this fad, we wanted to try things that would satisfy our cravings for junky foods, fill us up, give us energy, and just generally make us feel satisfied. So we searched, and we search, and we searched, until finally… one day we came across this recipe. This Almond Butter Cup Shake is mind-blowingly satisfying and yummy. It gives us all so much energy and make us feel full. In short, it is everything that a healthy shake should aspire to be!
So try it out this week! It’s even great as a mid-afternoon, post-workout snack.
Almond Butter Cup Shake:
- 2 cups spinach, fresh
- 2 cups almond milk, unsweetened
- 2 bananas
- 2 tbsp. almond butter
- 3 tbsp. cacao powder
1) Blend spinach, cacao and almond milk until smooth
2) Add the remaining fruits and blend again
3) Serve immediately
